Torria Huge is a Behavior Float at TLS’s Canal location. She works closely with students; implements behavior plans, and provides support in the classroom for students who need it.
Torria started working at TLS in February as a paraprofessional before transitioning into her current role this past August. She has a medial assistant degree from the Ohio Institute of Health Careers and is an independent provider certified through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.
Prior to coming to TLS, Torria was a teaching assistant at Dahlberg Gibson Learning Center, and helped individuals in their home with applied behavior analysis (ABA) and activities of daily living.
When she interviewed for the position at TLS, the ABA and the full-day preschool programs impressed her. She also said that the staff and students seemed like a close-knit family.
Torria’s goal is for each child she works with to be successful by 80%. She said it’s very rewarding to remember where a child started compared to where they are now.
Torria and her husband have been married since August of 2008. She has a 19-year old daughter who attends Wright State, and a 10-year old daughter. She is a youth minister at her church, and loves to read and make people laugh.
Thank you, Torria, for all you do for our students at TLS!
