At The Learning Spectrum (TLS), we understand that every child learns differently, feels differently, and
reacts differently. We adapt our curriculum, therapies and teaching styles to meet the needs of each
individual child, no matter where they are on the autism spectrum. Our goal is to help each child reach
his or her full potential, and live a productive, independent life. Since our first TLS location opened in
2005, the need for our services has grown exponentially. We are proud to have served hundreds of
students with autism and related disorders in our four locations in Central Ohio, and we’ve reached
even more through our inclusion therapy services in local private schools throughout the community.
Most recently, we have added a Behavioral Health Department and started providing 1:1/ABA (Applied
Behavior Analysis) as well as Creative Arts and Sibling and Parent Support Groups.

‣The TLS music therapy department utilizes music clinically to accomplish individualized goals while establishing a therapeutic relationship. Music therapy addresses various domains including the social, emotional, and cognitive needs of each client. Music can provide an avenue for communication for those who find it difficult to communicate verbally. In addition, music therapists also provide adaptive music lessons on the piano and guitar. They use a variety of instruments including maracas, hand drums, resonator bells, and tambourines. They also make use of technology with various apps for songwriting/music production, and music education. Clients do not have to be musical, or have any musical background to benefit from music therapy. Music therapists engage with a person’s inner “music child” helping them to move towards their fullest potential.
