The Learning Spectrum is proud to announce that The Susan Mosure Golf4Autism Memorial was a phenomenal success this year. In our 10th year, the Golf4Autism purpose has always been to bring more community awareness to the needs of local families. In 2017, the decision was made to change our name to The Susan Mosure Golf4Autism Memorial. This change honors and reflects on the life of Susan Mosure, The Learning Spectrum’s faithful Finance Director, who lost her battle with cancer in 2017. With that change came the promise that a portion of the funding raised will go directly towards The Susan Mosure Memorial fund which helps to further the education of under privileged students here at The Learning Spectrum. For the 2018 summer, The Susan Mosure Foundation provided $9,500 in scholarship funding for students to attend summer programming at The Learning Spectrum.
With a sold out crowd of nearly 100 golfers, this year’s Susan Mosure Golf4Autism took place on Friday, June 15th and the day could not have been more perfect to honor Susan’s memory. The event included a major corporate sponsorship from DataField Technology with additional sponsorships from Licking Memorial Health Systems, BJ’s Polaris, LA Financial Group, Fisher, Skrobot & Sheraw, LLC, and Central Ohio CPA. Glenross Golf Club provided their beautiful course and lunch was provided by Longhorn Steakhouse at Tuttle Crossing with dinner provided by Stowbilly BBQ.
In total we successfully raised $9,500, of which $6,650 will go directly to The Susan Mosure Foundation. The Parent Teacher organizations at Central, North East and South will each receive $950.
Thank you to each and everyone of you that participated in making this year’s event an unforgettable one for both The Learning Spectrum and The Mosure Family.
