Speech and Language Pathologist Job Description

The employee can expect to…

  •  Work in a multi-disciplinary therapy, behavior, and educational setting for students on the Autism spectrum.
  • Work with dedicated, student and family-oriented staff
  • Follow an academic calendar
  • Provide services during daytime hours, M-F Full time
  • Provide services to a manageable caseload of students
  • Evaluate and diagnose disorders of speech, language, and communication
  •  Develop and implement treatment plans for disorders of speech, language, and communication.

Qualified Candidate Requirements:

  •  Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
  • Current Ohio licensure in Speech Pathology
  • Holding or working towards Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech – Language Hearing Association
  • Experience with ABA and/or Autism Spectrum preferred but not required
  • Experience with AAC preferred but not required
  • The ability to establish positive relationships with co-workers and parents and students.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be able to handle emotionally charged situations.
  • A valid driver’s license with current insurance

Physical Demands:

  • Must have the physical ability to intervene with students’ physical behaviors
  •  Must have the ability to transport and physically support students needed for safety purposes

Pay: starting between $55,000-$57,000 for the school year
