Dear TLS Families
As you are aware, the State of Ohio has reported its first cases of the corona/COVID-19 virus, with reports of infection in Cuyahoga County and Stark County. We have created this letter to inform you with an update of how TLS plans to move forward in the wake of growing concerns about COVID-19, and what we all need to consider to remain healthy.
At this time, it has been ordered for us cancel school and services provided by The Learning Spectrum. We will close starting Monday, March 16 as instructed by the Governor for the next 3 weeks. There will be no school or services on Monday March 16. Our plan is to have students return on April 6 unless instructed otherwise.
Since ABA provides services in much lower numbers, the third week may be open to ABA students based on community outbreak at that time. We apologize for any inconvenience but we will re-evaluate the situation and update ABA families by March 26.
We will continue to update our families as further instructions are given to us. Teachers will be in contact with plans to provide off-site, digital instruction to students, or in a different manner if needed.
- If your family does travel, remember you must comply with CDC and Customs travel guidelines and advisories that may require you to be quarantined for a period of time. If students or their family members are quarantined, they may not attend school when it resumes
- We ask for courtesy and that you notify your site director if you or a family member is being tested.
The Learning Spectrum thanks you for your patience and support as we work through this situation together. Again, we will continue to update you as often as we are made aware of any significant changes.
