ASD summer fun

Summer break is officially in full swing, and many of our students are enjoying camps, relaxing with family, and participating in many of the local activities Columbus has to offer.

And if you’re looking for a way to experience summer with TLS’s friends and staff, the TLS PTO has created a way.

The TLS PTO has organized a group of TLS students, parents and staff who get together each Friday for a fun outing or activity. Every family at any TLS location is welcome.

The purpose of the Friday outings is to strengthen the friendships between students, families and staff that were formed this past year in the TLS support groups. It’s also a fun way for the students and their siblings to build friendships with each other.

The group is called ADS Summer Fun, and is led by TLS parent Mia Gilbert. It’s easy to get involved. Simply request to join their private Facebook page, and you can stay up to date with the group’s activities and outings.

There will be a variety of places to visit on the schedule this summer, but families are welcome to make suggestions. The first ADS Summer Fun outing was at the Columbus Zoo on June 10, and the second one was at COSI on June 17.

Each family is responsible for their own admission fees, and are encouraged to RSVP through the Facebook page so the group knows how many will be attending.

Summer is a busy time and always goes by fast. We hope that you will join the Facebook group, and plan to participate in the ADS Summer Fun on Fridays this summer!
