Respite Care

Has it been a long time since you were able to go out with your spouse, or just get away and relax? Due to high interest and requests from parents, The Learning Spectrum will be offering respite care for our families on a limited basis. Staff will come to your home and take care of your child/children while you get some much needed respite, with peace of mind in knowing that the childcare provider understands your child’s needs.

Respite care rates are $15.00/hour for Apprentice level staff, and $20.00/hour for Bachelor level staff. When making appointments, please call well in advance to schedule your respite care appointment (614-844-5433).

Cancellation Policy: 24 hour notice must be given when canceling a respite care appointment. If you must cancel after this time, you will be charged for 1 hour of service.

Behavior Policy: In order to ensure the safety of our staff, we ask that participant’s behaviors are manageable in a home setting. The Learning Spectrum reserves the right to discuss with parents the need for an individual aid for any child who is exhibiting behavior that takes away from the learning experience. If an individual aid is required, parents will be asked to pay a higher rate, or provide their own aid.
