Jill has worked in the field of special education for almost twenty years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a Master’s degree in special education (ABA) from OSU. She has worked with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and other behavioral disorders at a local inclusive school for the last five years. She holds a teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education and Early Education of the Handicapped, and is a certified STAT administrator. Her experience includes early intervention, home-based naturalistic ABA, classroom teaching, diagnostics, supervision, and teaching training/staff development. Jill is the mother of two children, Marshall and Macy.
Maureen holds a Bachelor’s degree in special education, as well as a Master’s degree from the Applied Behavior Analysis program at The Ohio State University. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and is certified to teach and work with children from birth to young adulthood, with endorsements in MH, EEH, and EI. Her experiences include classroom teaching, home-based consultation, staff supervision, clinical work, and consultation to public school teachers working towards successful inclusion. She is a certified STAT administrator, and is trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. She was instrumental in working on the Children’s Activities Committee for the first annual 2008 Walk Now for Autism Columbus. Maureen is the mother of daughter, Faye, and son, Charlie.
Kathy is responsible for business operation and development. She was a member of the 2009 Walk Now for Autism Speaks Executive Committee, a co-chair of the 2011 Walk, and served once again as co-char of the 2012 Walk. Kathy holds a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Psychology. She has spent the past 9 years working in schools and in private organizations helping to create successful programs for children on the Autism Spectrum. She is currently serving as the Human Resource Director at The Learning Spectrum. Kathy is also a parent of 3 boys, the oldest of which has ASD. She utilizes a variety of services for her son including bio-medical educational and therapy services and serves as a sounding board for the organization’s new ideas. She was a member of the Executive Committee for the first annual 2008 Walk Now for Autism and Chairperson of the Children’s Activities.
